Due to FAA regulations, the GVG section from Rt 20A to Chandler Rd must close during the air show in Geneseo this Saturday. The hike scheduled this Saturday in that same section has been moved to the York Landing Parking Area and head south to Rt 63

Park & meet: (42.864631, -77.851023) York Landing is east of River Road, just north of the Abbey of the Genesee Retreat House.

Please join Interpreter/Historian Ken Wallace for a hike through what is commonly referred to as “The Abbey Section”. This section experienced a severe slide and was closed for a few years while Parks worked with The Abbey of the Genesee to reopen the trail.

Enjoy scenic views of the Genesee River, pastoral and wooded landscapes, and learn some interesting facts along the way.
