Monday, April 2, 4 PM: FOGVG Board Meeting, FOGVG Office, 6111 Visitor Center Road, Mt. Morris, NY

Saturday, April 21, 9 AM - 3 PM, 5th Annual Earth Day in the Park: The FOGVG will be at the Hamlin Beach State Park celebration of Earth Day.

Saturday, May 5, I Love My Park Day - The GVG is now a NYS Park and volunteers will gather to do trail work at several sites on the Greenway. Volunteers are needed for the following work sites:
· Brook Rd. Parking Area, off of Rt. 383, ~ mile 5, in Chili; 9 AM - 1 PM: Pick up debris, trim brush, rake area, plant groundcover and native plants. Bring water, gloves and hand tools (i.e. rakes, loppers, trowels, shovels,...)
· Village of Mount Morris, State St. (Rt. 408) Parking Area; 9 AM - Noon: Pick up debris, trim along trail. Bring water, gloves and hand tools (i.e. loppers, rakes, shovels).
· Allegany County, South of Rt. 305, ~ mile 80; 9 AM - 1 PM: Pick up debris. Bring gloves and water.

May 5 - Allegany Adventure Run Run 22K through the hills of Allegany State Park in Salamanca

Saturday, May 19, 1 - 3 PM, Introduction to the Genesee Valley Greenway Bike Ride: This 15 mile ride experienced a tunnel of green as it traverses south to a historic stone lock and double-arched culvert. This ride starts and ends at the front door of the ice rink/swimming pool (149 Elmwood Ave.) in Genesee Valley Park. Ride leader: David Shaw, dave71735@hotmail.com.

Sunday, May 20: Annual "Journey for Sight" 5K Walk-a-Thon, Wellsville, NY: Sponsored by the Allegany County Lions Clubs, this year's event will be held on the WAG Trail, which follows the bed of the former Wellsville, Addison and Galeton Railroad. For info call Ron Abraham: (716) 498-8438

Saturday, June 2, National Trails Day - Dedication of Greenway Bridge at Mount Morris - Save the Date & Watch for details

Saturday, June 2 - Woods Walk & Trail Run A 10M run with LOTS of elevation changes through the hills outside Portville.
